The environmentally friendly MCA™ wood preservative contains micronized copper and tebuconazole dispersed in water. The preservative is manufactured with a minimal carbon footprint and provides superior performance.
Compared to ACQ and Copper Azole wood preservatives, MCA™ is:
- Lower significantly in rates of leaching
- Less corrosive to metal fasteners
- More resistant to mold growth
- Acceptable for direct contact with aluminum
- Lower in volatile organic compounds
- Easier to paint or stain

MCA™ preservative-treated wood products are recognized for use in above ground, ground contact, and freshwater contact applications and to resist attack by rot, fungal decay, and subterranean termites including Formosan termites.
MCA™ preservative-treated wood products may be used in locations where wood is permitted and/or in locations required by the code to be fungal decay or termite resistant in all building types and occupancies where permitted by the applicable code.
